burgers

I haven't updated this lil bloggy in months, so I figure I should try breathe some life into it on my accidental day off. I'm in my last few weeks of High School ever, with so many assignments but I'm not too worried so I've spent my spare time hanging about with friends and not doing what I need to. The above photos I took on my Ipod at like the last 50s Burger King I know of. It reminded me of the diner in Ghost World which is just A+ for many reasons. Something about the gross $5 meal deals and limp burgers (I don't eat meat so it's like 80% sauce) combined with the false retro aesthetics is just so pleasing. I promise to update a bit more regularly as exam study procrastination.

Nouvelle-Calédonie

Here is a jumble of photos I took on a school trip to New Caledonia (for French.) It was an amazing 10 day trip, and I got to stay with 2 of my best pals in a lovely host family and roam the streets of Nouméa everyday. I was too busy eating french food to take many photos, but c'est la vie am I right.

skate

Last night I went to shoot my friends Harriet and Sam skating at the skate park, but it was quite frustrating because it was raining and the flood lights weren't on (hmm pitch black) so I couldn't do much. Makes me want a proper flash for my camera! It was fun anyway, here a few photos I took of them under a street light.
I'm going to New Caledonia on a school French trip on Friday for 2 weeks, so expect an update including some sweet beachy pics. I can't wait, I'm staying with a host family with 2 of my best friends (Harriet and Minnie) which is going to be great.

everyone is so near

I'm trying to get into this blogging thing mainly to force myself to be creative. I guess I'll mainly be posting photos I take/collect like the rest of the blogging world. Basically, I'm Ayler and I'm a sixteen year old girl from New Zealand. I guess that's it to be honest.

For Christmas I got my first film camera (Canon EOS 300), and finally got my first roll developed. It was very old, black and white film and I was just using the kit lens it came with, so most of the images aren't as sharp as I would have hoped, but that's life.

Well there ya have a small selection to feast your eyes on.
